Summary

The almanac  SECOND NAVIGATION is directed towards the analysis of historical and socio-cultural tendencies in contemporary European culture. This fifth edition of the yearly almanac, published in Munich, is divided into four parts, bringing together essays, articles, and various philosophical texts. The reader of this year’s edition of  SECOND NAVIGATION is invited to acquaint himself with views on ongoing processes in history and in sociology, with issues in literary criticism, with recollections of the brilliant scientist and unique personality Sergei Averintsev, as well as with articles, published for the very first time here in Russian, of the remarkable philosopher of the «Silver Age» Semyon Frank.
